Kurarin Vintage shop guide

A local Japanese vintage clothing lover introduces Japanese vintage shops. I visited second clothing stores in various regions and recommend the best ones.

It's easy to remove stains on the upper of the white Dr. Martens with nail polish remover!

Dr. Martens White. Yellowing and stains easily adhere and are quite noticeable. If it's pretty dirty, it's worth it, but I want to remove half-baked dirt, and it's cool to wear it with a pure white upper.

White Doc Martens and wing tip Doc Martens. I tried to remove the dirt on the upper with a bleach such as Wide Haiter, which is introduced in Removing the yellowing of the soles of sneakers, but it did not come clean.

Just like new! Remove yellow stains from Converse soles with Wide Haiter [sneakers, how to remove, how to remove, cleaning, retro bright, white rubber, eraser, nail polish remover, foam hiter, oxyclean]

Use nail polish remover, zippo oil, stain remover, etc. to remove dirt from the upper

Dr. I use nail polish remover and zippo oil. Nail polish remover is sold at 100-yen shops.

The stain remover used for the maintenance of leather products is also effective, but the ability to remove stains (or rather, the ability to dissolve?) is higher with nail polish remover and Zippo oil.

If you think about the upper, the stain remover is more polite, but the good thing about Dr. Martens is that it doesn't change even if you don't care for it.

If you want to remove stains properly, use nail polish remover. It would be nice if it became light and beautiful, but if that's the case, a stain remover might be fine. Zippo oil removes stains, but nail polish remover is stronger.

After using nail polish remover to dissolve the dirt on the upper. You can see that it is quite beautiful. In particular, the dirt on the left 8 holes has completely disappeared.

I tried removing stains with Dr. Martens White nail polish remover!

There is a black line of dirt on the toe.

I was able to drop it completely.

Left leg.

It's gone too. The black spots on the toes do not come off because the paint is peeling off.

Side.

If you overdo the cracked part, the solvent will enter from the cracked part and the paint will come off, so be careful. Even if you rub it lightly, the dirt will come off, so be careful.

Inner sides that are prone to rubbing and staining.

Especially the heels are beautiful.

Remove old wing tip upper dirt

A wing tip purchased second-hand. Because it is old, yellowing and dirt are strong.

After cleaning with nail polish remover. I couldn't remove it completely, but the yellowing was completely removed and my impression changed.

Fine stains on the upper.

It looked like it would come off if I rubbed it more, but it wouldn't help if I rubbed it too much, so I cleaned it up to a point where it wouldn't stand out.

Left leg. Fine dirt is conspicuous.

Although it didn't disappear completely, it became less noticeable.

How to clean with Dr. Martens nail polish remover, maintenance

Towels, gauze, anything is fine. I use kimwipes. It is better not to use a tissue because it will be full of crumbs when rubbed.

Repeat several drops of nail polish remover and rub. Do not apply nail polish remover directly to Dr. Martens. Paint peels off. Since nail polish remover evaporates easily, it is easier to remove stains by replenishing frequently. Rather than rubbing strongly, it is less likely to damage the upper if it is melted with the feeling of stroking with nail polish remover.

The dirt comes off just by stroking it.

Scrub the dirt on your toes.

This much dirt comes off with just a few rubs!

When I finished it, it disappeared completely.

The video also introduces the state of maintenance. It's easy to understand how the dirt melts and falls in an instant, so please check it out.

The white Dr. Martens upper is cool whether it is dirty or pure white!

Dirty yellowed white Doc Martens are cool, and shiny white Doc Martens are both cool! Even if you use it for a long time, you can keep it pure white if you clean it carefully with nail polish remover. Please note that this method can only be used on coated leather such as Dr. Martens. If you are unsure, apply nail polish remover to an inconspicuous place and check before doing it.
