Visiting Second-hand Clothing Stores in Waikiki, Hawaii! A summary of vintage clothing stores and vintage shops in Waikiki, Hawaii. For some reason, I liked the standard second-hand clothing stores that are listed in guidebooks. Honolulu is also home to many select shops that sell stylish new items, but as you'd expect from America, the quality of used clothes is high, and bargains can be found. My favorite was the thrift shop "Sabres".

Bailey's Antiques and Aloha Shirts
Famous store for Aloha shirts. Aloha shirts are lined up in the store. There are quite a few types, such as dead stock, vintage, and second-hand Aloha. There are quite a few new items lined up, but there are almost no patterns that are lined up in Honolulu stores, so it's good not to wear them around.
Prices range from low $20-$30 to more expensive vintage aloha shirts.
You can choose cool Aloha shirts in the price range of around $50, so it's a good idea to buy Aloha shirts here first. I bought this Aloha shirt here. I think it was around $50.
Aloha shirts with the same pattern will look different depending on how the textile is cut, so let's compare them. There are also sizes that suit Japanese people, such as XS. There is a Japanese clerk who will serve you in Japanese.
In the back of the store, there are also ordinary second-hand clothes other than Aloha shirts. There are many cute old miscellaneous goods near the counter. Check it out.
The store is located on Kapahulu Ave near Waikiki.
Because it is a famous store, it is listed in most guidebooks. You can walk from the center of Waikiki, but it is easy to access by bus or trolley.
The store is large and easy to understand, so you won't get lost. If you walk a little, there are many famous malasada donuts and restaurants nearby, so let's go around.
SAVERS
My personal favorite store. It's often not listed in guidebooks, so maybe it's a little-known spot? Recycle shop in Japan. Old clothes, miscellaneous goods, and daily necessities are already jumbled up. Because it is a messy store, there are bargains. You can see a lot for under $10.
Sabers has two locations in Waikiki. Kalihi's store is recommended. The store is bigger here. That said, the other store (the Waipahu store) is also a large thrift store worth a visit.
Let's start with the Sabers of Kalihi.
Kalihi's store is huge.
There are also a lot of Aloha shirts. You can also find cheap Aloha shirts from brands such as Tori Richard.
Baseball cap corner with a good bargain
Ladies and kids are also available.
Lots of miscellaneous goods and tableware. The inside of the store is large, so it takes a lot of time if you look slowly.
How to get to the recommended Kalihi store. It's easy if you have a rental car, but if you don't have one, the bus is recommended. The bus route will appear in the destination search on Google Maps, so let's check it out. About 30-40 minutes from Waikiki. If you do it right, you can get there without changing buses, and it will stop right in front of Sabers, so it's not that difficult.

Next, another Waipahu store. This place is a little far to go on your own. Access by rental car is recommended.
As you can see on the map, it's far from Waikiki. toward Pearl Harbor. Access to the Waipahu store is on the blog below.
Old clothes found at Savers.
As expected of the United States, there were many military-related second-hand clothes. US Navy coverall $7.
Mountain Parker $12
Commercial use in Hawaii? T-shirt $2
Fruit of the Loom T-shirt $2
$4 Block Aloha
Aloha shirt with antique color scheme for $8
Here I bought this Aloha shirt.
Tririchard's Aloha shirt was $12.
TIN CAN MAIL MAN
Vintage shop. We carry a small amount of used clothes.

Mainly antiques, interiors, accessories, etc. are packed in a small store. Photography is prohibited inside the store. It's expensive, but it's fun just to look at it. Small miscellaneous goods and accessories are lined up in the showcase at the counter. There are many second-hand clothes shops around, so I recommend you to visit them casually.
This area is lined with select shops, vintage clothing stores, and antique shops. The townscape itself is calm and pleasant to walk. Bario Vintage and Heritage Vintage, which will be described later, are also close by, so you can walk there.
CLOSED : BARRIO VINTAGE
Closed in 2023. A used clothing store that mainly sells ladies.I have the impression that there are many colorful products such as retro dresses. I think it's an interesting shop for those who like vivid colors and retro designs.
There were many retro textiles and patterned products, and many of them were cute. Some prices are a little high, but overall it's okay. There weren't many men's. There is also a sale corner. We also carry a small amount of miscellaneous goods and small items.
Heritage Vintage
A small shop that mainly sells second-hand clothes and miscellaneous goods.
The price is also conscientious as many are under $100. In addition to old Aloha textiles, there are many small items, ordinary shirts, T-shirts, etc., so you can find second-hand clothes that you can wear in Japan. There are many records, used books, and cute accessories.
Nordstrom rack
It's not a second-hand clothing store, but it's a good place to find bargains.
Hawaii's discount stores are famous for Ross Dress Forless, but Nordstrom Rack is a must-see. Rather, I personally prefer Nordstrom Rack's product lineup and recommend it. find a bargain.
Nordstrom Rack also has a store on Waikiki Beach, but my favorite is the Ward Village store in Kakaako, next to Ala Moana Center. Not too many tourists.
This place is divided into two floors, and the inside of the store is large anyway. Take your time and find what you want. There aren't that many customers, and compared to stores in downtown areas, there are more product types, and many of them are rare.
I bought these Ray-Ban sunglasses here. It's my personal impression, but there were more types than Ross Dress Forless, and there were many stylish designs. After all, I couldn't find Ray-Ban with the same design at other stores or Ross Dress Forless. It's a bargain!
Hawaii Stadium Garage Sale (Swap Meet)
A swap meet is like a flea market.
It's a garage sale at Aloha Stadium, which is famous in Hawaii, but to be honest, it's boring when you go for used clothes and vintage. However, it is perfect for buying souvenirs and T-shirts in bulk. There are a lot of classic accessory souvenirs, Hawaiian T-shirts and cheap Aloha shirts (though the design is mediocre).
Click here for details such as the timing of the event.

Souvenirs made of shellfish are sold in large quantities.
We also sell muumuu for women.
There are many T-shirts, but many are recycled or new.
The price is cheap anyway. There aren't many places around Waikiki Beach where you can buy in bulk at this price, so if you want to buy souvenirs or classic T-shirts, let's go.
There were some shops selling antique-like items such as badges, so it was fun to look at those shops, but there weren't many of them.
Honestly, it wasn't a garage sale run by amateurs who could find bargains from Europe or America, but it was a delicate place for used clothes and antiques.
Because we are doing it in the parking lot of the baseball field, it takes quite a while to go around. It's fun to take a break from time to time, buy a hot dog, or take a walk while watching slowly.
You can also see a little baseball field.
There was also an artisan shop selling storyboards and such.
