Kurarin Vintage shop guide

A local Japanese vintage clothing lover introduces Japanese vintage shops. I visited second clothing stores in various regions and recommend the best ones.

Visited Actually! Hong Kong Vintage Clothing Store 30 recommended stores [cheap, price, reputation, vintage, miscellaneous, antique, European, American casual, Euro, military, accessories, men's, women's, map, old book, second hand].

Explore vintage clothing stores in Hong Kong, an East Asian city that feels like Europe!

Hong Kong secondhand shop tour. Compared to Japan, there are fewer used clothing stores, but digging is fun because you can find antiques and miscellaneous goods unique to Hong Kong, which has a history with Britain. The area is small and transportation is cheap, so it's easy to go to many second-hand clothing stores, which is unique to Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, second-hand clothing is referred to as ``old book'' or ``second hand''. It seems that the expression vintage is often used in the sense of "vintage-like", and even new retro-style fashion stores sometimes have the word "vintage" in their name.

Sometimes the front door is locked, and if you can't open it, you need to ring the bell or DM on Instagram. It is a culture that is not common in Japan.

The number of floors is based on the British notation, where the ground is counted as the 0th floor, so the 1st floor in Japan is the 0 (G) floor. 2nd floor is 1st floor. In this article, the local notation of Hong Kong is used so that it can be used locally. If it says 1st floor, it means 2nd floor in Japan.

The second-hand clothing purchased in Hong Kong is introduced in the video, so please check it out.

A rare and authentic vintage shop in Hong Kong. Hong Kong's best-in-class product lineup, inventory fees, and vintage quality. There are both men's and women's, but there are many men's and unisex. Standard genres such as military, work, denim, and sports are available. 80s and 90s American casuals are especially popular. The price range starts from 5,000 yen.

There are two floors, the ground floor and the first floor. There are also vintage Levi's in the showcase on the ground floor. Many original remake products are produced. As expected of a store that understands vintage, there are many designs that will appeal to vintage clothing lovers.

There is a sale corner at the back of the first floor.

I also took a video of the store.

The Salvation Army Family Stores Tin Hau Home Store (Salvation Army)

Thrift store run by a charity. One of the cheapest secondhand clothing stores in Hong Kong.

http://familystore.salvationarmy.org.hk/

About 5 minutes on foot from Tin Hau Station. It is also close to the Midwest head office.

Thrift shop like off-house in Japan. Anyway, household goods are sold all over the place. Since there are products from around 300 yen, it is quite cheap. Most of the items are priced between 1,000 and 3,000 yen.

Digging is fun because you can find mysterious miscellaneous goods.

Mainly recycled products. I didn't find any vintage, but there might be if the timing is right. It's a fairly cheap recycle shop in Hong Kong, so it was surprisingly crowded.

luddite1811

A vintage shop with a great atmosphere. The name of the restaurant, taken from the Luddite movement of 1811, is also a good touch.

https://www.instagram.com/luddite1811/

The location is next to the above bike shop. About 10 minutes walk from Causeway Bay Station. Ground floor of multi-tenant building. The surrounding area is lined with shops with a good atmosphere, such as bike shops.

Sale of high-class vintage and original clothes made based on it. Almost men's. You can find American and Euro vintages. I didn't see any oiled jackets like Barbour in Hong Kong, but I found them in second-hand clothing stores here. The price range is around 20,000 yen. There are also many select items such as shoes and hats.

We also sell old Japanese clothes.

BlackSun

https://www.instagram.com/blacksun_hk/

About 10 minutes walk from Causeway Bay Station. Building across from Daychild.

On the 5th floor of the building. Take the elevator up.

The building looks like a commercial facility, so if you think about it in Japan, there may be no shops, but in Hong Kong, this style is normal.

Mostly brand new. The price range is around 20,000 yen. Some of them also sell used American casual clothes.

Daychild Vintage & Goods

https://recycling.salvationarmy.org.hk/index.php ?route=information/information&information_id=21

This place is two stories high and spacious.

Mainly recycled products. Larger selection than other stores.

In Hong Kong, the ground floor is the G floor, and the 2nd floor is the 1st floor.

Shoes are cheap if they fit. Be careful as there are fakes such as Converse.

There were many used books in this store.

Green Ladies Wanchai

Recycle shop specializing in ladies.

Green Ladies

I think Hong Kong's top class for recycled women's clothing. It sells a lot of regular second-hand clothes, mainly manuscripts, and it's cheap. From 1,000 yen. There are many products. The color-coded display is easy to read.

There are also plenty of small items such as shoes, belts, and bags. There are also children's clothing.

Sheung Wan Station, around Cat Street.

The miscellaneous store looks like an overturned treasure chest. I'm particularly curious about old flight bags. They sell a lot of old records and accessories. They also sell some brand new items, but they have good taste. I bought a vintage ring.

Mino Jisso Entrance Store Central Store (MEE & GEE Import Shop)

Cheap thrift shop with multiple stores in Hong Kong. Mainly used clothing recycled items from Japan are sold.

5 minutes walk from Central Station.

Anyway, it's insanely cheap. The lowest price is around 170 yen. Around 1,000 yen is the most common. Most of the clothes are Japanese recycled products, and they are all discarded items, but the amount is large, so it is worth digging. The most interesting thing in Hong Kong was this chain store. I went to several stores in Hong Kong, but found a bargain at every store and bought something.

Videos are also welcome. The 70s Japanese wool jacket is made by Ichibankan, a luxury tailor in Ginza, and costs 3,000 yen. As for soccer uniforms, old boots and rare uniforms were found and purchased. About 1,000 to 3,000 yen. Weird Japanese T-shirts are 500 yen.

I was surprised to be able to pay by credit card.

Because it is located in the downtown area, it was quite crowded. It's narrow because there are too many clothes and there are almost no aisles.
