Kurarin Vintage shop guide

A local Japanese vintage clothing lover introduces Japanese vintage shops. I visited second clothing stores in various regions and recommend the best ones.

22 recommended BEST vintage clothing thrift stores in Shinjuku to Takadanobaba and Waseda, Tokyo JAPAN

I visited about 20 stores, from the Shinjuku area, which has many major chain stores, to the Takadanobaba area, which has long-established second-hand clothing stores, and the Waseda area. There are many interesting shops and restaurants within walking distance from Takadanobaba to Waseda, so it's fun to take a walk. Mejiro has many unmanned vintage clothing stores at nearby stations. Yoyogi Park and Yoyogi Hachimansecond-hand clothing stores.

Secondhand clothing stores in Shinjuku, Shinjuku Sanchome, and Higashi-Shinjuku

Because of the nature of the area around Shinjuku, there are almost no vintage clothing stores. There are multiple stores that buy and sell major chains such as 2nd Street, Kindol, and Ragtag, as well as high-end brands.

DC BANK

A long-established vintage clothing store in Shinjuku.

DCBANK (Shinjuku-ku, Shinjuku) | Ekiten

Located in the drinking district of Shinjuku 3-chome. Look for the signboard in front of the building. The store is on the 2nd floor.

The atmosphere is like a recycle shop, but the impression is that you can find a lot of good old clothes. Both women's and men's available. There are many regular used clothes and brand used clothes, some of which are cheaper than the market price, and it's fun to look at the miscellaneous feeling. In particular, brands such as Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, Issey Miyake, and UNDERCOVER line up. The price range is around 3,000 to 20,000 yen.

THE FOUR-EYED

High sense, a select shop that develops a unique view of the world.

I like that the place is very hard to find because it feels like a hideout.

Go through the front desk of Love Hotel Abyss to the back. 1st floor of the back building. The owner is photographer Keisuke Fujita.

The unique sense and world view are very interesting. The exquisite sense of distance and topics of friendly staff are also interesting. A stylish shop that makes you love fashion even more. Some second-hand and vintage items are available, but there are times when they are not available. One-of-a-kind accessories and miscellaneous goods are worth seeing. The style goes down to the details and it's really nice. Prices range from 10,000 to 20,000 yen for accessories and miscellaneous goods, and tens of thousands of yen for clothes.

Antique miscellaneous goods, especially tableware, are many cute and wonderful products. There are surprisingly cheap small antiques, so I just buy them. They also carry some vintage second-hand clothes such as Eurovintage linen smocks and grandpa shirts. The price range ranges from affordable antiques for 2,000 to 5,000 yen to antique and vintage clothes for 10,000 to 20,000 yen.

Depending on the brand, the price range is wide, but around 15,000 to 25,000 yen.

The 1st floor is used clothes of high brands and streetwear. The 2nd floor is regular used clothes of current domestic brands and overseas brands.

Sneakers, leather shoes, and boots on the 2nd floor are top-class in Shinjuku.

Regular used clothing on the 3rd floor. Outdoor, American casual, denim, and standard regular used clothes for formal wear are lined up. There are almost no second-hand clothing stores in Shinjuku that sell so-called "second-hand clothing," so I often go to Second Street. Compared to second street in the suburbs, the inventory is smaller, but the quality is not bad.

Secondhand clothing stores around Takadanobaba, Waseda, Nishi-Waseda

There are several vintage clothing stores along Waseda Street. There are famous ramen shops, antique shops that sell old books, and more fashionable cafes in the area, so if you walk between Takadanobaba Station and Waseda Station, you can efficiently visit second-hand clothing stores.

It is easy to use because it has a large mirror and chairs. Sophia University and Waseda University are nearby, so I got the impression that cheap regular second-hand clothes were abundant. Prices range from 300 to 5,000 yen. By the way, if you use the buzz store often, it will be cheaper if you use the app. With a coupon, you can save up to several thousand yen.

Fashion Recycle Tanpopo House Takadanobaba

Tanpopo House is one of the cheapest used clothing stores in Tokyo.

Takadanobaba - Second-hand clothing store/recycle shop Tanpopo House Vanvert

On the east side of Waseda Street from Takadanobaba Station.

Mainly recycled old clothes. We have quite a lot in stock. There are many second-hand clothes for women, children, and kids. There are also some men's items. Suits, white shirts, and old slacks are especially numerous. When I go fishing, I often find retro second-hand clothes from the 80s and 90s.

At any rate, cheapness is the charm of Tanpopo House. Prices range from 100 to 500 yen, and it is difficult to find second-hand clothes priced at 2,000 yen or more. You can also find US used clothes and vintage bargains inside, so it's a thrift shop that's worth seeing.

Marumi Shoten

One of the long-established vintage clothing stores on Waseda Street.

They carry standard second-hand clothing brands such as Adidas, Ralph Lauren, and Levi's. The price range is around 2,000 to 5,000 yen. The fitting room is large and easy to use. The age is written on the tag, and it is helpful that it is easy to check.

Kids and children's clothes are many, and the number is complete.

Along Waseda Street. A few minutes walk from Takadanobaba Station. About halfway between Nishi-Waseda Station and Waseda Station.

The store is not large, but the amount of inventory is large. and cheap. Outstanding performance. It is the only vintage clothing store in the Shinjuku, Waseda, and Takadanobaba station areas, and one of the most cost-effective stores. Basic men's. There are many second-hand American casual clothes, from regular second-hand clothes to wonderful vintage clothes.

Old Adidas, Nike and other sportswear, Carhartt, Champion and other workwear, U.S. Army military, L.L.Bean and North Face outdoor, US print T-shirts, sweatshirts, US Levi's denim, and more. It is cheap with assortment of goods.

You can find high-quality second-hand clothes at reasonable prices that you can only find at a long-established store in an area with many students. Payment is cash only. The price range is around 3,000 to 10,000 yen.

BEATNIK

New thrift store opened recently.

Secondhand | Beatnik | Japan

Near Waseda Station, just a short walk away. There is also an affiliated store in Shizuoka.

It's a select shop that sells used clothes and original leather goods, but the best feature is that you can drink handmade chai made from spices. 500 yen per cup. You can also drink chai with alcohol such as rum. This chai is so delicious. I like chai so much that I can brew it myself, and I often drink it at the shop, but Beatnik's chai was one of the most delicious.

There are many regular used clothes for men and unisex. There are also some ladies. There are many second-hand clothes with interesting prints and patterns, and you can come across one that is more mysterious than the standard. There are also quirky second-hand clothes, such as patchwork shirts remade by Ralph Lauren. The price range is around 5,000 to 15,000 yen.

We also sell leather products and leather goods that are handmade by the owner. It was just under construction when I visited. A wide range of products such as leather belts, accessory cases, and pouches. A simple and vintage design that seems to be an item made by a second-hand clothing store.
